The artificial lake Durlassboden is located in the municipality of Gerlos in the beautiful Zillertal valley and was completed in 1966. The 83 m high dam is an earth dam, the lake is fed by the 31 km long Gerlosbach river, which also feeds the artificial lake of Gmünd. A curiosity: the border line between the states of Tyrol and Salzburg runs exactly through this lake.
