Skógafoss

One of my favorite waterfalls of Iceland. Many tourists of course, but only a few dare to get close to the waterfall itself at the bottom. It is such an amazing experience to be standing right at the bottom, feeling the water hit your face and back. Be ready to get completely soaked and have clothes for changing ready. We went to this waterfall three times during our trip of two weeks, we just couldn’t get enough! Personally, I found the hike up the hill only worth the view over the landscape from above. The waterfall itself is best experienced from the bottom.

Campground next-door is also great. Communal kitchen, coin laundry, toilets, and paid showers in a separate building. Like most places in Iceland, they open late and close early, which only affects paying for your camping, and the ability to take a shower.

Thanks for watching. Please don’t forget to like and share 🙂
