A colt with his mother

The horse evolved over 45 to 55 million years from a small multi-toed creature into the large, single-toed animal of today. Humans first domesticated them between 4000 and 3000 BC.

Baby horses are also named foals are very energic and playful animals.

They depend to a great extent on their mothers, because the mares are the only one feeding the babies and training them for life.

Because they have very long legs, young horses will be able to walk side by side with their parents, soon after they’re being born.
